Hunger after workout is commonly happen. Almost all people who have just finished their activities will surely feel hungry and want to eat something. Sometimes, this can made a dilemma, whether to hold your hunger after workout or following your empty stomach.

Starving After Workout

Actually, is it okay to eat after exercise? Or should you hold hunger so that your workout is not in vain? Whatever workout you do, whether cardio or muscle, it still drains energy. Therefore, many people who later feel starving after workout.

In fact, its fine if we eat after workout, we can even eat about 30 minutes after workout. The body still needs nutrition intake as a substitute for energy that has been previously drained while workout.

It is better to consume foods with balanced nutrition between carbohydrates, protein, and fat. Avoid high fat content foods after exercising like junk food. Your stomach needs adaptation after workout.

Instead of consuming high-calorie food, you should replace it with simple food but enough to substitute the lost energy. If you feel dizzy and sluggish after workout, sweet foods or snacks can help restore energy quickly.

After workout, it’s much better to consume fruits such as banana, apple, papaya, or melon. The natural sugar content inside the fruits is good for your body after workout. It made your stomach full longer.

Chicken Breast

If you plan to build your muscles, consuming boiled chicken breast is much recommended. Chicken breast is one the animal protein that easily obtained and easily cooked. Every 100 grams of chicken breast meat contains at least 30 grams of protein with minimal fat.

For diet people, you can consume boiled vegetables and meat 1 hour after workout. Our body still needs its daily nutrients even we are on diet. Before workout, we should eat too. But don’t eat too much food because it will cause stomachache.

Anti-Inflammatory Foods

Foods that contain anti-inflammatory also need to be consumed after workout. Moreover, the level of inflammation of someone who works out will be higher than people who rarely workout. Healthy fats are considered effective against inflammation. One of the familiar fruit that contains healthy fat is avocado.

Avocado has unsaturated fat content and low sugar which is good for health. Avocados also have a variety of vitamins such as vitamin E, vitamin C and vitamin K. You can consume avocado in many ways such as make it as avocado juice without adding creamer or milk.

Or you can combine the avocado porridge with pasta. Crush the avocado and mixed with boiled pasta as its sauce instead of Bolognese sauce. But the simplest way is just eat the avocado without any process.
